As they continue to grow, they are seeking a skilled Senior Superintendent to lead their project teams and contribute to their tradition of success.

*Job Description*

  • Ensure on-site safety through toolbox talks, safety checklists, and continuous monitoring to uphold OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
  • Provide hands-on field supervision to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
  • Coordinate and lead meetings with owners, subcontractors, architects, engineers, and local authorities to facilitate project progress.
  • Develop and implement site logistics plans to maximize productivity and minimize disruptions.
  • Conduct weekly subcontractor coordination meetings to keep the project aligned with the overall schedule.
  • Manage municipal inspections throughout all construction phases, including obtaining the final Certificate of Occupancy.
  • Coordinate on-site material storage, equipment logistics, and site organization to maintain an efficient job site.
  • Establish initial job setup requirements and oversee the organization of the construction site.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, owners, and municipal officials to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Oversee punch-list creation, ensuring all subcontractor work aligns with construction documents.
  • Schedule and oversee owner training and equipment commissioning.
  • Coordinate and manage all site activities to maintain the project timeline.
  • Use Microsoft Project to manage the overall project schedule in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Schedule trade and material deliveries, while maintaining and updating Three Week Look-Ahead schedules.
  • Maintain accurate as-built drawings, project documentation, and photographs.
  • Keep detailed daily reports and ensure all project drawings are up to date.
  • Be familiar with contract provisions and manage General Conditions costs effectively.
  • Address subcontractor inquiries and manage RFIs (Requests for Information) with architects and engineers.
  • Manage submittals and RFIs in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Document and communicate subcontractor requests for additional work with the Project Manager.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Project Manager to provide updates on project status.
  • Perform general labor tasks as needed to support the team.
  • Support the implementation of the company’s ISO 9001 quality management program.
  • Be prepared to travel to project sites as needed.

*Ideal Candidate*

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in commercial or industrial construction.
  • A college degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience managing projects exceeding $5 million in value.
  • Strong background in sitework and familiarity with scheduling and computer-based project management tools.
  • Proficient with current technology, including tablets/iPads and construction-related software applications.
  • Experience with Procore is a plus.
