*Job Description*

  • Prepare and estimate budget costs for higher education construction projects by thoroughly analyzing architectural plans, specifications, and site conditions.
  • Evaluate purchase offers, factoring in site requirements, project modifications, and cost variations to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify and resolve cost discrepancies to maintain financial integrity throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and present detailed budgets, financial reports, and comprehensive project plans to senior stakeholders and project managers.
  • Create and submit competitive bids for higher education construction projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
  • Lead and participate in meetings with clients, contractors, site managers, and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and project progress.
  • Provide expert guidance on project cost management, helping to optimize resource allocation and improve financial outcomes.

*Ideal Candidate*

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Estimating within the higher education or institutional construction sector.
  • Extensive knowledge of quantity surveying and cost estimating, including experience with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
  • Advanced understanding of contracting processes, negotiation strategies, and legal considerations in higher education construction.
  • In-depth expertise in facility design, construction methods, sequencing of activities, and project scheduling logic, specifically in educational facilities.
  • Strong grasp of client business needs and the unique constraints within higher education construction projects.
  • Proven ability to manage complex budgets, resolve cost discrepancies, and present clear financial data to senior leadership.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with a focus on collaboration and delivering high-quality outcomes.
