Position Summary
They are seeking to hire a strategic and results-oriented Senior Director of Finance to lead our financial operations and drive fiscal planning in support of our mission. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring sound financial governance across the organization. As a key business partner to senior leadership, you will provide actionable financial insights to influence decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies to drive the company’s short-term and long-term goals.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and adherence to financial best practices.
  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, providing accurate, timely, and relevant financial information to key stakeholders.
  • Risk Management: Manage financial risk, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining internal controls.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing financial guidance and strategic input to support research, development, and commercial activities.
  • Cash Flow Management: Optimize cash flow and working capital, ensuring efficient allocation of financial resources to support company operations.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
​​​​ Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA and/or CPA designation is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulatory requirements. Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic financial plans that drive business results.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven experience managing and mentoring a finance team, with the ability to influence and engage at all organizational levels.
  • Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Systems Proficiency: Experience with financial systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.
