Project Manager Role Overview

The Project Manager (PM) will act as the primary point of contact and corporate representative for all project stakeholders, including Owners, OPMs, Developers, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors. The PM will oversee the entire project lifecycle, managing budget, schedule, risk, resources, and safety, while delivering exceptional customer service. Additionally, the PM will implement a "Raving Fans" action plan and play a significant role in business development, including networking, marketing initiatives, and proposal preparation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support proposal and preconstruction phases, collaborating with estimating and purchasing teams
  • Conduct constructability reviews and budget updates
  • Oversee project team and staffing requirements
  • Manage weekly project and subcontractor meetings; distribute meeting minutes
  • Coordinate with field staff on project goals, budget, and schedule
  • Manage project financials, requisitions, invoices, and cash flow
  • Conduct budget forecasting and change management as necessary
  • Serve as primary contact for Owner communications and reporting
  • Mentor and manage project team members, providing evaluations and training as needed
  • Oversee project controls, including RFIs, submittals, and material tracking
  • Manage close relations with subcontractors and address quality, cost, and schedule challenges
  • Ensure project schedules are updated and distribute master schedules
  • Lead project closeout processes, including documentation and punch list management
  • Perform regular safety walks and record observations
  • Represent the company in project interviews and optimize project profitability through self-perform trades

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in the construction industry in a project management role
  • OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 certifications preferred
  • Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., Timberline, Sage), scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6), and construction management software (e.g., Procore) preferred
