This organization provides diverse services, including Design-Build, Design-Bid-Build, and Contingency/Disaster Relief construction, to federal clients worldwide.

They are seeking an Estimator I to join their team just West of Boston . This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an organization that values collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.


Position Overview: Estimator I

Responsibilities:

  • Review project solicitation documents and perform quantity take-offs.
  • Solicit subcontractor/vendor quotations and distribute solicitation documents.
  • Assist in developing scope of work packages to define project requirements.
  • Evaluate subcontractor/vendor proposals to ensure scope accuracy (quantities, schedules, inclusions, exclusions, etc.).
  • Prepare subcontractor/vendor price analysis sheets.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding construction documents.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in engaging with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word).
  • Familiarity with take-off software is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills are also preferred.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of experience in the construction industry, with estimating experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with commercial or government projects is advantageous.
  • Background with construction material suppliers and quantity take-offs is a plus.
