*Job Description*

  • Supporting the planning and scheduling of all project phases to ensure that key deadlines and project objectives are met.
  • Collaborating closely with the Project Manager to negotiate contracts with architects, vendors, contractors, and other key stakeholders in the education sector.
  • Assisting in the process of securing building permits, licenses, and coordinating the delivery of materials and equipment to job sites.
  • Monitoring construction progress, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, productivity standards, and compliance with building codes.
  • Participating in project progress meetings with Superintendents and Subcontractors, reviewing safety protocols, quality control measures, timelines, and material deliveries.
  • Collaborating with the project team to ensure that resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment, are properly allocated to meet project requirements.
  • Fostering strong relationships with Project Managers, Superintendents, Subcontractors, and Clients, maintaining a cooperative, team-oriented environment to ensure smooth project execution.

*The Ideal Candidate*

  • 3+ years of experience in construction, with a focus on Higher Education or institutional projects.
  • Experience in Project Management or as an Assistant Project Manager, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proactive, detail-oriented approach to project management.
  • Familiarity with construction software and project management tools, such as Procore or Microsoft Project.
  • A passion for delivering projects that positively impact the educational environment and foster a culture of learning.
